ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ALBERTVILLE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a family member request an electric fence compliance certificate?+
Yes, a family member can help arrange the enquiry. Give Wesslink the responsible owner or management contact and explain who will receive the findings. Access and authority over the installation must be settled before the inspection or any repairs proceed.
Does an electric fence certificate of compliance cover every apartment?+
The certificate relates to the electric fence installation inspected. Ask which perimeter and equipment it describes. It should not be confused with a certificate for wiring inside an apartment or taken as confirmation that unrelated electrical systems were inspected.
Is your electric fence alarming near a communal garden?+
Tell the manager and Wesslink where the alarm is heard, when it occurs and what has already been observed. Electric fence fault finding can assess the actual system. Keep people clear of damaged or accessible wires and do not ask a gardener to test or touch them.
Can the inspection be planned around residents’ routines?+
Share visiting arrangements, mobility needs and the times entrances are busiest. Wesslink can discuss a workable appointment with the authorised contact. Any temporary access restrictions or separation of the work area should be explained to the people affected before work begins.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
