ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ALDARA PARK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Who should request the electric fence compliance certificate for a managed perimeter?+
Ask the managing contact to identify the responsible party and the existing documents. Wesslink can discuss an authorised inspection once the installation and access are clear. Buying one residence does not by itself authorise alterations to shared perimeter equipment.
Can an electric fence certificate of compliance be promised before the inspection?+
No. Wesslink needs to assess the installation and any defects first. Share the required date when booking, then allow for repairs, access arrangements and any further inspection needed. Keep optional upgrades separate from work necessary to address the findings.
Is your electric fence alarming while the property stands empty?+
Provide the times, any messages already received and the key-holder’s details. Electric fence fault finding needs authorised access to the actual equipment. Do not ask an agent to open covers, bridge wires or recreate the alarm during a viewing.
What if the certificate names the wrong address?+
Raise the discrepancy before relying on the document. Provide the property details and ask the previous issuer or responsible owner to clarify what installation it covers. Wesslink can inspect the fence being presented rather than assuming that similar addresses describe the same system.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
