ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ALLANDALE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming after an office or workshop fit-out?+
Explain which areas and supplies were worked on and provide the exact message. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the affected installation without assuming that the visible layout change explains the fault.
Can the fit-out team put a cupboard around the equipment?+
Have the proposed arrangement assessed before it is built. The equipment’s installation and service requirements need to remain satisfied; an enclosure should not be improvised around it.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate be arranged after relocation?+
Discuss certification before work begins. The completed installation must undergo the required inspection and tests, including the relevant changes.
What if the fence serves more than the rented unit?+
Involve the responsible property manager before work. Confirm which installation and occupiers are affected so one tenant does not alter shared equipment without authority.
What should be handed over when the business reopens?+
Keep the operating information, relocation records and any electric fence certificate of compliance issued. Make the responsible contact and authorised equipment access clear to the people managing the premises.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
