ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ALLENS NEK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection be planned before paving is finished?+
Yes. Explain the project early so the relevant assessment can be coordinated with other work. Ask what needs to remain accessible and what follow-up is required before certification.
Should cable-route information stay with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Retain useful completed-work records and available route details with the certificate. Make clear what has been professionally confirmed rather than drawing a guessed route that could mislead a future contractor.
Is your electric fence alarming after trench work?+
Report the timing and the area where work occurred. Leave exposed or suspect material untouched and arrange assessment. Do not dig further or connect loose cables to test whether they belong to the fence.
Can the paving contractor repair a damaged fence cable?+
Agree the appropriate electrical work with a suitably qualified professional. The paving contractor can coordinate access and surfaces, but should not be expected to identify or repair electrical fence connections without the relevant competence.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
