Need an Electric Fence COC in Arundo Estate?

Is the fence beside your Arundo home yours, your complex’s or the estate’s? Before arranging an electric fence COC, identify the installation that needs inspection. Wesslink can discuss the fence, the available documents and any authorised repairs needed before certification.

Arundo includes sectional title complexes and freestanding homes. Give the complex name as well as the house or unit number when you enquire.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

A house, a complex and the estate can need different instructions.

Arundo Estate is on Rietspruit Road in The Reeds Extension 45. Its mixture of freestanding homes and sectional title complexes matters when a sale or maintenance request mentions “the electric fence”. A garden wall beside a unit does not, by itself, identify who controls the energiser or who can commission work on it.

01

Selling a unit inside a complex

Ask the managing agent which fence documents belong to the complex and which, if any, belong to the unit. Send the actual certificate request with the property description. This helps avoid booking an inspection of a small garden boundary when the requested record concerns a larger shared system.

02

A freestanding home with fence equipment

If there is an energiser at the house, tell Wesslink where it is and whether you have a previous certificate or installation invoice. An inspection can establish the connected fence and its condition. Equipment inside a home is a starting point for enquiries, rather than proof that every adjoining wire belongs to that owner.

03

A report involving the outer boundary

Report concerns about the estate perimeter to Arundo security or management. An authorised representative can then arrange the appropriate attendance. Include a recognisable location and the time of the incident; residents should not enter restricted areas or approach damaged wires to identify a fault.

Get the documents to the person commissioning the inspection.

For a property transfer, ask the seller or agent to collect the previous fence certificate, any later repair invoices and the wording of the request from the conveyancer. Wesslink can review those documents alongside the installation. If records describe another complex or a different boundary, that needs resolving before anyone relies on them.

For electric fence installation or alterations, check the applicable estate and complex approvals first. A proposal should identify the wall, gate opening and equipment involved. Electric fence repairs may be narrower than a new installation, but work on a shared system still needs instructions from the person responsible for it.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

    The energiser and fence circuit

Identify the equipment and the fence sections it supplies, including alterations and gate crossings.

  2. 02

    Earthing and physical condition

Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.

  3. 03

    Warning signs and accessible areas

Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.

  4. 04

    Testing, corrections and certification

Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

The quotation depends on what can be accessed and what is being inspected: a house installation, a complex fence or an authorised perimeter section. Send the available records first. Inspection, necessary corrections and certification should be explained so the customer knows which work the price covers.

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Is your electric fence alarming near an Arundo complex?

Report an estate-boundary alarm to estate security. For equipment serving your home or complex, describe where the alert appears and when it started. Wesslink can discuss electric fence fault finding with the person authorised to arrange access.

Can a tenant book the inspection?

A tenant can make the initial enquiry and explain the problem. Confirm the landlord’s instructions and any managing-agent involvement before repairs are approved, especially where the fence serves more than one unit.

What if the seller only has a house electrical certificate?

Send the documents you have. An electric fence compliance certificate concerns the fence installation; the house electrical certificate does not establish which shared fence equipment or boundaries were included in a separate fence inspection.

Will an inspection automatically produce a certificate?

No. An electric fence certificate of compliance depends on the installation meeting the applicable requirements. If defects need correction, Wesslink can explain those findings and quote for the necessary authorised work before certification.

Should our complex arrange several separate visits?

Ask the managing agent whether the requests concern one shared installation or separate systems. Providing the affected addresses and available fence records together lets the appointment be planned around the actual equipment and access needed.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
