ELECTRIC FENCE COC · BERARIO
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a venue user arrange an electric fence compliance certificate?+
A venue user can report a concern and help explain how the premises are used. The owner or facility manager should identify the installation, approve the inspection and arrange equipment access. A booking for an activity does not authorise work on the perimeter.
Can an electric fence certificate of compliance inspection take place while classes continue?+
Explain the class times, entrances and outdoor areas in use when booking. Wesslink can discuss the inspection access and work area with the responsible manager. Keep participants away from the fence work, and agree any route changes before the visit.
Is your electric fence alarming when visitors arrive?+
Describe the timing and the entrance involved, without repeatedly opening a gate to reproduce the event. Electric fence fault finding can assess the actual installation and its connections. Keep visitors clear of the work area and tell Wesslink if any wire or component appears damaged.
Should the gate contractor reconnect the fence after changing an entrance?+
Agree who is responsible for the fence work before the gate alteration begins. Tell Wesslink what will be moved and arrange inspection of the affected installation. A completed gate job does not, by itself, confirm that the electric fence was reinstated correctly.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
