ELECTRIC FENCE COC · BERGBRON
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a tenant obtain an electric fence compliance certificate for the whole premises?+
The tenant can start the enquiry, but the responsible owner or manager must identify the installation and authorise access to shared equipment. Ask who holds the existing fence records and who will receive the findings before the inspection is booked.
Can an electric fence certificate of compliance inspection proceed if the energiser is locked away?+
Ask the landlord or building manager to arrange authorised access to the equipment before the visit. Tell Wesslink about appointment times and shared entrances. If any part remains inaccessible, ask what further assessment is needed before certification can be completed.
Is your electric fence alarming during appointments?+
Share the timing, any recent boundary work and the observations already recorded. Electric fence fault finding can then investigate the actual system. Do not silence it by bypassing wires or ask a tenant to open equipment; keep the responsible property contact involved.
Can a new fence be installed while tenants keep using the site?+
Describe the proposed route and how the premises operate. Wesslink can assess the electric fence installation and discuss the work area with management. Obtain applicable property approvals and agree access arrangements before work starts; uninterrupted use of every entrance cannot be assumed.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
