ELECTRIC FENCE COC · BORDEAUX
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can I get an electric fence compliance certificate before the garden work is finished?+
Explain what work remains and whether it could affect the fence. Wesslink can discuss inspection timing and any follow-up needed after the installation is disturbed. A certificate should relate to the installation assessed, so planned changes should be disclosed.
Does an electric fence certificate of compliance authorise work beside a spruit?+
No. It concerns the electric fence installation. Permission for clearing, landscaping, structures or access on land outside your control is separate. Establish the relevant ownership and approval arrangements before that work proceeds.
Is your electric fence alarming after trees were trimmed?+
Tell Wesslink which section was worked on and when the alarms started. Electric fence fault finding can examine the actual route and equipment. Do not assume the trimming caused the fault or ask the gardener to disconnect wires to test the possibility.
Can the fence be moved to make garden maintenance easier?+
Describe the intended position and the reason for moving it. The installation, nearby openings and boundary structures need assessment, with applicable property approvals arranged first. Ask for the proposed alteration and any existing defects to be treated as separate quotation items.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
