COMPLEX PERIMETERS · REPAIR PRIORITIES · COMPLETE INSPECTION ACCESS

Need an Electric Fence COC in Boskruin?

Planning electric fence repairs across a Boskruin complex rather than one visible break? Wesslink can inspect the agreed perimeter, identify defects and discuss a clear repair quotation. If you need an electric fence COC, include that requirement from the start so inspection access and any follow-up are arranged for the installation concerned.

A repair list should show both completed work and sections still awaiting access or assessment. Replacing a visible component does not establish the condition of the rest of the fence.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Plan a perimeter project as one installation with several work areas.

For a Boskruin home in a complex such as Boskruin Valley, electric fence repairs may involve more than the section visible from one garden. Ask the responsible contact to identify the perimeter and coordinate access through the relevant areas. Keep residents’ observations linked to their locations so each reported concern can be considered during the inspection.

01

Several sections need attention

Prepare a simple list of the reported locations and what residents have noticed. Wesslink can inspect the installation and explain the findings before a repair programme is agreed. Do not decide which defects are safe to defer from appearance alone; discuss the consequences and any immediate action with the inspector.

02

Some gardens cannot be accessed yet

Tell the managing agent which areas are unavailable and arrange suitable access with the occupants. The findings should identify any part that could not be inspected. A visit to the accessible sections remains useful, but the paperwork must not imply that the unseen route has been checked.

03

The complex wants to replace or extend the fence

For an electric fence installation or major alteration, describe the intended perimeter and entrances before selecting equipment. Include any concurrent wall or gate project. The responsible property body should approve the agreed changes and obtain applicable permissions; a resident’s request alone does not authorise a shared-perimeter project.

Make each repair stage easy to understand and follow up.

Ask the quotation to distinguish defects found during inspection from optional improvements. If the work is proposed in stages, each stage should have a clear description, the sections affected and the further inspection needed. The authorised contact can then compare options without treating an unfinished repair programme as a completed certification exercise.

Keep the earlier fence documents, inspection findings and completed-work records in one property file. When access is later obtained to another section, provide those records to the inspector. This avoids confusing an older finding with a new defect and helps management explain the progress accurately to residents without making guarantees about the outcome.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

    The energiser and fence circuit

Identify the equipment and the fence sections it supplies, including alterations and gate crossings.

  2. 02

    Earthing and physical condition

Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.

  3. 03

    Warning signs and accessible areas

Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.

  4. 04

    Testing, corrections and certification

Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

A Boskruin perimeter quote depends on the route, equipment, condition and access, not simply the number of homes. Supply the available installation information and state whether inspection, repairs or replacement is being requested. If vegetation, a wall or gate work requires another contractor, identify those arrangements and any approvals separately.

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Can an electric fence compliance certificate be issued for an unfinished repair programme?

Certification depends on the installation inspected and the findings being addressed as required. Ask Wesslink what remains outstanding and what further inspection is necessary. A payment stage or an approved budget does not itself establish that the fence is ready for certification.

How should the electric fence certificate of compliance be kept for a complex?

The responsible managing contact should keep it with the installation description and subsequent work records. Make the documents available when further work is requested. If the perimeter has changed, disclose those changes instead of assuming the earlier certificate describes the current fence.

Is your electric fence alarming at several points around the complex?

Collect the locations and times already reported and pass them to Wesslink through the managing contact. Electric fence fault finding can assess the actual system. Do not ask residents to disconnect sections, bridge wires or change settings to locate the fault themselves.

Can a quotation cover only the worst-looking section?

You can describe the work you want considered, but inspection may identify other defects relevant to the installation. Ask for the findings and any limits of a partial repair to be explained. Keep urgent concerns clear and do not assume an unquoted section is satisfactory.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
