Need an Electric Fence COC in Bronberrik?

Has a new gate, side entrance or divided yard left questions about your Bronberrik fence? Wesslink can inspect the installation before you rely on an electric fence COC or authorise more work. Explain which entrances changed and whether the same fence still serves the whole property.

Do not assume the gate motor and electric fence are the same system. Describe the symptom and equipment involved so the right work can be discussed.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Check the complete boundary after an entrance changes.

For a Bronberrik address, give the actual street and property number even if nearby Hennopspark is used as a landmark. If your property has more than one entrance, the important inspection question is how the fence continues around them. A newly working gate does not, on its own, confirm the condition of the adjoining electric fence.

01

The vehicle gate was replaced

Keep the gate contractor’s invoice and describe any fence wires, posts or cables moved during the job. Wesslink can inspect the relevant fence sections and discuss repairs. Do not assume the gate contractor inspected the entire fence unless the records specifically show that work.

02

A side gate now serves a tenant

If you have added a separate entrance, explain who uses it and which part of the yard it reaches. Include any boundary shared with the main house. Wesslink can discuss the fence arrangement around both entrances and the access needed for inspection.

03

One entrance produces an intermittent alert

Note which entrance was in use, the time and the message shown by the alarm or energiser. Provide observations you already have; do not repeatedly operate a gate to reproduce a suspected electrical fault. Wesslink can investigate the fence and explain any separate gate-work requirement.

Keep gate work and fence work on the same job history.

A certificate enquiry is easier to assess when the earlier fence record and subsequent entrance changes are supplied together. Mention widening, a pedestrian gate, a moved keypad or a new boundary return where relevant. The inspection needs to consider what is installed now, including sections that are less visible from the street.

If you are planning electric fence installation, explain all vehicle and pedestrian openings at the quotation stage. For electric fence repairs, point out the symptom and known alterations without deciding in advance which component must be replaced. Where a boundary is shared or controlled by a complex, obtain the relevant approval before changes proceed.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

    The energiser and fence circuit

Identify the equipment and the fence sections it supplies, including alterations and gate crossings.

  2. 02

    Earthing and physical condition

Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.

  3. 03

    Warning signs and accessible areas

Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.

  4. 04

    Testing, corrections and certification

Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

Fence length alone does not describe a job involving several entrances. Send the layout or a simple written description, the accessible equipment details and any earlier certificate. The quotation can then distinguish inspection, gate-related fence corrections and other work, with any separate gate-motor repair explained before it is authorised.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC · BRONBERRIK

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Is your electric fence alarming when the gate moves?

Tell Wesslink which gate and what message you see. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation; the symptom alone does not identify a failed part. Keep clear of damaged wires and leave electrical testing to the technician.

Does replacing a gate mean I need a completely new fence?

Not automatically. The existing fence and the changes should be inspected. Some enquiries involve local corrections, while others need more work; the recommendation should follow the condition found on site.

What should an electric fence compliance certificate relate to?

It should relate to the installation inspected. Show Wesslink the existing record and any changes to entrances or boundary sections so the documents can be considered against the present arrangement.

Can the fence and gate visits be coordinated?

Explain both jobs when you enquire and identify the gate contractor if one is already appointed. Agree who will perform each part of the work and when the fence can receive its final inspection.

Can I receive a certificate before the new entrance is finished?

An electric fence certificate of compliance depends on the relevant installation meeting the applicable requirements. Discuss the unfinished work first; an advance booking does not certify components that still need to be installed or corrected.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
