ELECTRIC FENCE COC · BROOKLANDS LIFESTYLE ESTATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming at Brooklands?+
For an estate-perimeter alert, contact the security team for that numbered estate first. Give the location and time. Wesslink can discuss electric fence fault finding once the responsible representative identifies the system and arranges access.
Does one Brooklands certificate cover all three estates?+
Do not assume that it does. Ask for the document and check which installation it describes. The relevant manager can confirm the estate and equipment concerned before a buyer or agent relies on it.
What should I ask for when buying a townhouse?+
Ask which fence protects the property, who manages it and where its records are held. An electric fence compliance certificate should be relevant to that installation; the townhouse address alone may not identify the shared perimeter.
Can Wesslink issue a certificate from a photograph?+
Photographs can help explain an enquiry, but an electric fence certificate of compliance requires the appropriate inspection and tests. Any necessary corrections must be dealt with before a compliant installation can be certified.
Can a resident approve work on the estate fence?+
Obtain instructions from the estate’s authorised representative. A resident can report a concern and help identify the location, while management confirms who may commission work on the shared installation and arrange the required access.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
