Need an Electric Fence COC in Centurion Mall?

Has a landlord asked for a fence certificate before you take over business premises near Centurion Mall? Send Wesslink the request and the property address. We can help identify the installation that needs inspection, quote for necessary corrections and arrange an electric fence COC assessment without confusing it with the shop’s general electrical certificate.

For equipment belonging to the mall, arrange the enquiry through centre management. If you mean a nearby business, give its own address as well as the mall landmark.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

A shop handover should identify the fence, not just the shop number.

Centurion Mall is on Gordon Hood Road and brings retail, dining and entertainment together. A business using that landmark may occupy space inside the centre or separate premises nearby. Explain which property you mean when requesting an electric fence compliance certificate. A shop’s internal wiring and a landlord’s boundary fence are different installations, even when both documents are needed for a handover.

01

The lease asks for a certificate

Forward the wording to the property manager and confirm whether it refers to the premises’ electrical installation, an electric fence, or both. Locate any earlier documents before booking. If the request concerns shared equipment, the landlord should identify the relevant installation and arrange access rather than asking a tenant to guess where it starts and ends.

02

A delivery yard has a damaged fence

Describe the visible damage and whether deliveries can continue without bringing people close to the affected equipment. Keep staff away from damaged wires and report the concern promptly. Wesslink can assess electric fence repairs and explain what needs correcting; a photograph is useful background, but cannot establish the condition of concealed connections or the rest of the system.

03

Fit-out work changes the boundary

Include any proposed gate, wall or loading-area changes in the inspection request. An electric fence installation needs to suit the completed layout, so planning it before adjacent construction is finished can prevent avoidable rework. Agree responsibilities between the landlord, fit-out contractor and fence contractor before anyone moves or disconnects existing equipment.

Make the repair quotation useful to the person approving it.

A business owner needs to know what is wrong, what the proposed work fixes and whether anything remains outside the quotation. Ask for those points in plain language. If the inspection identifies several defects, separate the necessary corrections from optional improvements. A replacement energiser should have a reason behind it; the fact that a box is old does not, by itself, explain every fault along the fence.

Plan attendance around the actual premises. Provide the entrance used by contractors and the person who can reach the relevant equipment. If testing affects a monitored system, the responsible site contact should coordinate it with the monitoring provider. After work, retain the findings and completion documents with the business property records so a future tenant does not have to reconstruct what was done.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

    Earthing and physical condition

Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.

  3. 03

    Warning signs and accessible areas

Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.

  4. 04

    Testing, corrections and certification

Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC · CENTURION MALL

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Is your electric fence alarming at business premises near Centurion Mall?

Tell Wesslink when it started and what the display or alarm message says. Electric fence fault finding should investigate the actual installation. Do not keep changing settings or asking staff to handle wires to silence it.

Can I book an inspection before signing the lease?

Discuss access and permission with the owner or letting agent first. An assessment can help establish the current condition and necessary work, but the lease parties must agree who is commissioning and paying for it.

Does my shop’s electrical certificate cover the perimeter fence?

An electric fence certificate of compliance concerns the fence system. Give us the documents you have so the required service can be identified; do not assume a certificate for ordinary electrical wiring covers that separate installation.

What if repairs are needed before the certificate can be issued?

You should receive an explanation of the findings and the proposed corrections. Certification follows the required inspection and testing once the installation meets the applicable requirements; ordering a certificate does not guarantee a pass.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
