ELECTRIC FENCE COC · CENTURY MANOR ESTATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming in a recently completed home?+
Note when the alert started and describe any work still underway. Wesslink can discuss electric fence fault finding for the authorised installation. If the alert concerns the estate perimeter, notify the HOA or security team first.
Can a builder’s completion letter replace the fence certificate?+
Ask for the electric fence compliance certificate itself where it is relevant to the installation. A general completion letter may describe the building project without recording the fence inspection and tests.
What if my contract only says the property is in a security estate?+
Ask the seller what fence equipment, if any, is included with the property and what records are available for shared infrastructure. Do not assume that description includes a privately owned electric fence.
Should a missing certificate delay all enquiries?+
No. Contact Wesslink with the address, the equipment description and the records you do have. The next step can be discussed while the seller or HOA searches for earlier documents.
Can you promise certification before my moving date?+
The appointment and any corrections need to be assessed first. An electric fence certificate of compliance can only follow the required inspection and compliant outcome. Mention the date early so the work can be planned realistically.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
