Need an Electric Fence COC in Clearwater Mall?

Arrange an electric fence COC inspection or repair enquiry at Clearwater Mall through Wesslink with the responsible centre contact involved. Describe the fence section, any alarm or visible damage, and the document required. Centre management should confirm which installation the request concerns and arrange access to the relevant equipment.

This guidance concerns a conditional fence enquiry. It does not assert that every shop, parking area or centre boundary has electric fencing.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Choose the right contact and arrival point

Clearwater publishes separate operations, security and parking contacts, with entrances on both upper and lower levels. Its management office is identified outside entrance 7 on the upper level. For technical attendance, management should confirm the meeting point and access route; the entrance nearest a tenant’s shop may not lead to the equipment requiring assessment.

01

Operations defines the installation

Ask the responsible centre representative to identify the relevant electric fence installation and records. A tenant’s document request may involve landlord-controlled equipment rather than anything maintained inside the shop. Establish that distinction before a visit is arranged.

02

Is your electric fence alarming in a centre-managed area?

If a fence alarm has been reported, ask operations to authorise electric fence fault finding and give the location and timing. Where testing or access affects a monitored installation, agree the contact and notification process privately. The work instruction should explain what is authorised and who is expecting the inspector. Public shopper entry does not establish technical access.

03

Parking plans support the working area

If the assessment route crosses vehicle areas, identify the level, meeting point and access restrictions with the responsible team. Allow for the actual working area to be cleared or controlled where required, rather than relying on general parking availability.

Create one joined-up instruction

Send Wesslink the requester’s wording, existing fence documents and the centre representative responsible for the scope. Identify whether the enquiry concerns record retrieval, an assessment after alteration or a reported defect. A shop number helps locate a tenant, but the installation should also have a description that the centre’s operations team recognises.

Before attendance, confirm the agreed time, escort or key holder, and report recipient. If a defect is found, the party responsible for that equipment should approve any repair. Keep the inspection findings, repair instruction and completed record together. This prevents different departments receiving separate fragments without knowing whether the required work was concluded.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

    The energiser and fence circuit

Identify the equipment and the fence sections it supplies, including alterations and gate crossings.

  2. 02

    Earthing and physical condition

Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.

  3. 03

    Warning signs and accessible areas

Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.

  4. 04

    Testing, corrections and certification

Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

The estimate should describe the confirmed system and coordination needed. Provide access limitations and any authorised attendance window early. A tenant document query and an inspection of shared boundary equipment should not be priced as though they are automatically the same task. Electric fence repairs require the responsible centre representative's approval and a quotation based on the findings.

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Can a tenant book inspection of the centre boundary independently?

The tenant can raise the enquiry, but responsibility and authorisation for shared equipment must be confirmed with the centre before work proceeds.

Should I direct the inspector to the closest shopper entrance?

Confirm the technical meeting point with management. Clearwater has entrances on different levels, and the shortest shopper route may not provide equipment access.

Does paying for parking grant access to service areas?

No. Parking and authorised access are separate arrangements. The responsible centre contact should confirm the route and any escort or keys required.

What if operations and security have different instructions?

Resolve the scope through the authorised centre representative before attendance. The inspector needs a consistent instruction identifying the installation and the people coordinating access and any testing.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
