ELECTRIC FENCE COC · CORNWALL HILL
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming near the Cornwall Hill perimeter?+
Report it to estate security with the location and time. Wesslink can discuss electric fence fault finding with the authorised estate representative. An alarm heard from a home does not by itself identify the affected section.
Can an inspection cover just the part recently repaired?+
Explain the work and supply the existing records. Wesslink can assess the inspection and documentation required for the affected installation, including how the repaired section connects to the rest of the fence.
Does a wall repair invoice replace an electric fence compliance certificate?+
No. The wall work and fence certification are different records. Keep both, along with the description of any fence components removed or reinstated during the structural repair.
Can we start repairs before management responds?+
For estate-controlled equipment, obtain instructions from the responsible representative. Report any immediate safety concern promptly and keep people clear; a resident should not alter shared fence equipment while waiting for approval.
What if defects remain after the wall has been repaired?+
The fence still needs its own assessment. An electric fence certificate of compliance depends on the applicable requirements being met, including any necessary corrections to the installation after the structural work is finished.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
