ELECTRIC FENCE COC · CRESWELL PARK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate be discussed after temporary work?+
Yes. Explain the full history and the work still outstanding. The relevant installation must be assessed and necessary remedial work addressed before certification can be completed.
Should unfinished items be kept with the electric fence certificate of compliance records?+
Retain the work history and completed repair information together. Ask which items have now been resolved and whether any further assessment is required, so later readers do not confuse the initial visit with final completion.
Is your electric fence alarming again after an initial attendance?+
Report the new symptom and refer to the earlier findings. Keep to any safety instructions already given and leave equipment unchanged. Do not restore or bypass a section yourself in an attempt to make the alarm stop.
Can the work be finished by a different contractor?+
Provide the earlier findings and arrange proper access for a fresh assessment. The new contractor needs to understand the present installation rather than rely on an incomplete verbal description of what another person did.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
