ELECTRIC FENCE COC · DELAREY
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection be arranged during frontage work?+
Explain the project before installation begins. Ask when relevant parts need to be inspected and which items must remain accessible, then agree any further assessment after the work is complete.
Should I keep alteration information with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Yes. Retain the description of completed fence changes and relevant documents with the property records. That helps the next contractor understand the installation behind the finished frontage.
Is your electric fence alarming after a sign was fitted?+
Report when the symptoms began and where the sign work occurred. Do not remove the sign or move fence wires to test the connection. Arrange assessment of the affected installation and tell the responsible property contact.
Can a tenant approve a fence move for a larger sign?+
Confirm the applicable property authority first. The landlord or responsible manager should approve work on their installation, and the technical arrangement needs assessment before relocation is agreed.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
