ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ELDO MEADOWS
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming after outdoor alterations?+
Tell Wesslink which work was completed and when the alert began. Electric fence fault finding can check the installation. Keep people clear of the affected boundary and do not move wires or new structures to test a theory.
Does an electric fence compliance certificate cover a new patio?+
It concerns the fence installation. The patio may require its own approvals, and changes near the fence should be disclosed so the current arrangement can be assessed appropriately.
Can I move the fence higher to make room for a screen?+
Discuss the proposal with the estate and a fence professional before any work. The correct arrangement depends on the installation and applicable requirements; do not extend brackets or relocate wires yourself.
Should I book before or after the landscaping is done?+
Enquire before work begins and explain the intended finished layout. Wesslink can discuss whether an initial assessment and a later inspection are needed, instead of assuming one visit suits every project.
When can I obtain the completed fence record?+
An electric fence certificate of compliance depends on the relevant inspection and tests and a compliant installation. Keep it with the outdoor-work records so future owners can understand the completed boundary arrangement.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
