ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ELDORAIGNE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming only occasionally?+
Tell Wesslink how often it happens and send any saved messages. Avoid repeated resets or improvised tests. The installation can be assessed even if the alert is not active at the moment you make the enquiry.
Does rain prove the fence needs a new energiser?+
No. Describe the timing, but leave the cause to inspection and testing. A quotation should follow the findings rather than assume one weather-related explanation applies to every installation.
Can an old electric fence compliance certificate rule out a fault?+
It provides history for the installation. It does not replace investigation of a current symptom or account automatically for changes, damage or repairs made after the certificate was issued.
Should I wait for another alarm before calling?+
You can enquire with the information already available. Explain any damaged or accessible equipment promptly and keep people clear. Wesslink can discuss the appropriate assessment without asking you to provoke another alert.
Can certification be completed while a defect remains?+
An electric fence certificate of compliance depends on the applicable requirements being met. If inspection identifies a defect that prevents certification, the responsible customer needs the findings and proposed corrections first.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
