Describe the position without assuming the fence belongs to the apartment. Ask management who authorises access and repair work there. If the garden gate or planting obstructs inspection, coordinate practical access with the occupier while the responsible manager instructs the shared-system work.
Send the document and explain the discrepancy. The record may need to be checked against later repairs or changes, and the installation assessed where appropriate. Do not alter the wording yourself or assume a different model name means the whole fence must be replaced.
Send one request that names the unit, relevant installation and documents needed. If there is a known alarm or visible defect, describe that separately so it is not lost inside a paperwork enquiry. Ask who will arrange the inspection, approve a quotation and supply the completed records. Avoid booking competing contractors for the same shared fence without coordination.
Electric fence repairs should follow the assessed condition and the authorised instruction. A proposed electric fence installation or extension affecting shared property needs the relevant approvals before work. Ask for findings to identify the actual fence section and equipment, so a buyer, owner and manager can understand what has been corrected and what remains outstanding.
INSPECTION & TESTING
A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

Identify the equipment and the fence sections it supplies, including alterations and gate crossings.
Inspect the earth system, wires, joints, brackets and insulators, together with the installation’s condition.
Check the safety provisions around the fence, including signs and places where people can approach it.
Explain defects found, agree the repair work and complete the checks needed before certification.

For a shared installation, the quote needs the responsible manager’s instruction and practical access to the system, not just the apartment’s floor area. Explain whether the request is document review, fault investigation, compliance inspection or approved alterations. Ask what the proposed attendance includes and how further corrections will be priced if the inspection identifies them.
