ELECTRIC FENCE COC · FLEURHOF
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection be planned in stages?+
Explain the project and ask what assessment is appropriate for the installation involved. Keep completed, inaccessible and unfinished work clearly identified; a construction stage should not be presented as completion of a wider installation without assessment.
Which records belong with the electric fence certificate of compliance after an extension?+
Retain the completed-work description and relevant installation documents, including information about the altered boundary. Keep unfinished building items separately identifiable so future readers understand what was actually assessed.
Is your electric fence alarming near ongoing building work?+
Report the location and what work has taken place nearby. Keep clear of affected components and notify the responsible site contact. Do not reconnect an unfinished section or move building material against wires to investigate.
Can residents arrange private changes beside a shared construction boundary?+
Ask the responsible manager to coordinate the request first. The shared fence and building project need the applicable authority and a clear technical plan before an individual contractor changes either installation.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
