ELECTRIC FENCE COC · FLORIDA GLEN
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate enquiry be combined with roof-project completion?+
Explain the project early and ask when the installation needs assessment. Arrange access to relevant sections and identify any alterations or repairs before the fence inspection is treated as complete.
Should I retain roof-related fence repairs with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep the completed fence work description and relevant documents together. The useful record is what changed on the fence, not an assumption that a general roofing invoice covers its assessment.
Is your electric fence alarming after gutter work?+
Report when the symptom began and where work took place. Keep clear of loose metal or suspect damage and leave the installation unchanged for assessment. Do not move a gutter against wires to test a suspected connection.
Can the roof team temporarily remove fence brackets?+
That requires the appropriate authority and professional coordination. Explain the intended access before work starts so the fence can be dealt with properly and any required reinstatement and assessment are planned.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
