Need an Electric Fence COC in Florida Hills?

Changing the part of your Florida Hills garden used by pets or the household? Discuss the existing electric fence before adding kennels, barriers or outdoor fittings beside it. Wesslink can assess electric fence repairs, proposed alterations and the inspection needed for an electric fence COC.

Keep people and animals away from damaged or suspect fence components. Do not use an electric security fence as a makeshift tie point or attach a pet barrier to its wires.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Explain how the garden will be used after the change.

Florida Hills has an active residents-forum identity shared with Flora Cliff. For work at your own home, the useful starting point is the property’s actual outdoor layout. If pets will use a different garden section, or furniture and storage are moving towards the perimeter, explain that change before requesting fence alterations.

01

A pet area is being created near the boundary

Show the proposed enclosure or kennel position to the relevant professionals. Ask how the intended arrangement relates to the fence before fixing new barriers. Do not treat an existing gap or a quiet alarm as evidence that nearby wires are safe to touch.

02

Outdoor furniture changes where people sit or reach

Describe the finished layout, including any raised seating, storage or structures. The technician can assess the relevant fence arrangement. Move everyday activities away from suspect damage and avoid placing objects where people might use them to reach fence components.

03

You suspect an animal-related incident

Report what was actually observed and keep animals away from the affected area. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation. Do not recreate contact, allow a pet near the wires or rely on its behaviour to test whether the fence is operating.

Keep ordinary garden maintenance separate from fence work.

Tell gardeners and other contractors which work needs professional coordination. Pruning, moving a kennel or fitting a screen should not quietly include changes to electrical fence components. If an alteration is needed, ask for the appropriate proposal and obtain applicable owner or shared-property approval before it proceeds.

For a new electric fence installation, describe how the household uses the outdoor area rather than choosing a route solely from an empty garden photograph. Ask for normal operating information at handover and keep it with the relevant records. Future changes to the garden can then be discussed against a known installation.

INSPECTION & TESTING

What does an electric fence COC inspection cover?

A working energiser is one part of the system. The inspection also considers the fence installation, its safety provisions and the test results.

An electric fence certificate follows inspection and testing by a registered person. Defects affecting compliance must be corrected before certification. Read Regulations 12–13 ↗

ELECTRIC FENCE COC COSTS

Get a quote for the fence you actually have.

A Florida Hills quotation should identify the fence work and the proposed garden changes separately. Provide the intended layout, known symptoms and any damaged sections. Ask what needs assessment before alteration, and which gardening, building or animal-enclosure work remains with another contractor.

Questions before you book.

Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.

Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection include a changed garden arrangement?

Explain the changes when enquiring so the relevant installation can be assessed in its intended setting. Ask what fence work or further inspection is needed before certification is completed.

Should garden-related fence alterations be kept with the electric fence certificate of compliance?

Retain the completed electrical work description and relevant documents together. Identify the fence changes clearly so a future contractor understands the arrangement beside the garden and outdoor features.

Is your electric fence alarming when pets are outdoors?

Keep the animals away from the fence and report the timing and any incident actually observed. Arrange assessment rather than allowing repeated contact to investigate a suspected cause.

Can I attach a separate pet fence to existing electric fence fittings?

Do not alter or load those components yourself. Describe the proposed barrier and have the arrangement assessed before work. Shared boundaries also need the applicable property authority and approvals.

Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?

A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.

Will the inspection fee include repairs?

Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
