ELECTRIC FENCE COC · FLORIDA
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can I request an electric fence compliance certificate after replacing an energiser?+
Explain the replacement and any other alterations when arranging the enquiry. The relevant installation needs assessment and any necessary remedial work must be addressed before certification is completed.
Should equipment information stay with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep useful model details, operating instructions and the completed-work description with the certificate. This helps the next owner or technician identify the installation that was actually assessed.
Is your electric fence alarming despite a recently replaced unit?+
Report the symptom and exactly what work was completed, if known. Leave equipment unchanged for assessment. Do not fit another unit or substitute parts simply to see whether the alarm stops.
Can a used energiser be approved from a photograph?+
A photograph can help identify the enquiry, but its condition and suitability need assessment. Do not treat a model match or a seller’s description as a complete technical check.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
