ELECTRIC FENCE COC · GLEN AUSTIN
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Will GARA arrange my private electric fence COC?+
Its public terms describe community work rather than an entitlement to personal services. Ask the owner or property manager about private fence records and arrange the inspection instruction with the responsible party.
Can one address contain more than one fence installation?+
It can. Describe any separate energisers and fence purposes that you know about so the inspector can establish the scope. Do not assume one document covers unrelated systems merely because they share an address.
Do I need to measure every metre before asking for a quote?+
An approximate layout and accessible photographs are a useful start. State when dimensions are estimates; the installation and practical inspection requirements can then be confirmed.
Should a tenant provide access to a locked outbuilding?+
If relevant fence equipment is inside it, arrange permission and access in advance. Do not force entry or assume the inspector can assess equipment that remains inaccessible.
Is your electric fence alarming beside an overgrown section in Glen Austin?+
Tell Wesslink when the alarm occurs and which enclosure or boundary section is affected. We can arrange electric fence fault finding and check the relevant system. Mention overgrown or inaccessible sections before the visit so safe access and any necessary clearing can be coordinated.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
