ELECTRIC FENCE COC · GLENFERNESS
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming beside a horse enclosure?+
Describe the indication and location, and keep animals clear of damage. Wesslink can discuss electric fence fault finding on the relevant installation without assuming the animals caused the warning.
Can the same quotation cover different fence purposes?+
Explain each system and ask for the work to be identified separately. The technician needs to assess suitability and condition rather than quote all wires as one interchangeable installation.
Can I get an electric fence compliance certificate for the property boundary?+
Discuss the installation and available records. Certification depends on the required inspection and tests, with any necessary corrections completed.
Should horses be moved before the appointment?+
Agree the access requirements with Wesslink and the responsible handler. Plan safe separation before work begins rather than moving animals around an active work area.
Which documents should the yard manager keep?+
Keep the relevant electric fence certificate of compliance, operating information and completed repairs, with a description distinguishing the installations on the property.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
