ELECTRIC FENCE COC · GOLDEN FIELDS ESTATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming while documents are being requested?+
Tell Wesslink about the symptom and provide any saved alert. Electric fence fault finding can be discussed alongside the certificate enquiry. Report a shared-perimeter issue through the responsible estate or complex manager.
Will an electric fence compliance certificate guarantee insurance cover?+
Ask the insurer about your policy and the specific evidence it requires. Fence certification concerns the inspected installation; it should not be represented as a guarantee that an insurer will accept a claim or provide particular cover.
Can a repair invoice answer a request for a certificate?+
Ask the recipient which document is required. An invoice records charged work; an electric fence certificate of compliance follows the relevant inspection, tests and compliant outcome. Keep both where they apply.
Can I request documents for the estate perimeter myself?+
You can ask management for the relevant records and explain why they are needed. Any new inspection or repairs to shared equipment should be commissioned through its authorised representative.
What if the deadline is earlier than the available appointment?+
Explain the date when enquiring and update the person requesting the document. The required inspection and corrections cannot be skipped to produce paperwork before the installation is ready for certification.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
