ELECTRIC FENCE COC · GREENSIDE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a Greenside business tenant book a perimeter inspection?+
They can make the enquiry, but authority over the relevant installation and repair decisions must be clear. Include the landlord or property manager where the system is shared or owner-controlled.
Does the fence COC prove a business is permitted at that address?+
No. Land use and business permissions are separate from the fence inspection. Direct those questions to the property's planning adviser and relevant authority.
Can testing be done while customers use the entrance?+
Tell us how the area is used so appropriate access arrangements can be agreed. Do not assume that normal customer access provides a suitable working arrangement.
Should a rear delivery-gate alteration be mentioned?+
Yes. Explain any change affecting the fence route or connections and provide available records, even if the public frontage looks unchanged.
Is your electric fence alarming around delivery times?+
Tell us when it happens and whether the yard or delivery gate is involved. Arrange electric fence fault finding with the owner or property manager, including access outside busy delivery periods where needed. The timing alone does not identify the cause.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
