ELECTRIC FENCE COC · HALFWAY GARDENS
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming near recently trimmed plants?+
Tell Wesslink what changed and when the warning occurs. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation; avoid touching wires or repeating garden work to try to reproduce the fault.
Should all vegetation be removed before an inspection?+
Discuss the actual obstruction first. Arrange only the access work needed, carried out safely by the responsible people.
Does a garden-service visit include a fence inspection?+
Ask what each contractor’s work covers. Vegetation maintenance and an electrical assessment are different tasks and should be agreed explicitly.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate be arranged after repairs?+
Include the document request when booking. Certification depends on the required inspection and tests after necessary corrections.
What should management file when the work is complete?+
Retain the electrical findings, completed repairs and any electric fence certificate of compliance, with enough location detail to identify the section involved.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
