ELECTRIC FENCE COC · HERITAGE HILL
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming beside the estate perimeter?+
Report a shared-perimeter alert to estate security or management. For an authorised Wesslink attendance, provide the reported location and alert details. Electric fence fault finding should be coordinated with the person responsible for that system.
Can a resident request an electric fence compliance certificate for the perimeter?+
Ask the HOA which records relate to the request and who may commission an inspection. A resident can raise a document query without independently authorising changes to shared equipment.
Can I build a screen against the boundary?+
Check the proposed position with the HOA and against applicable property conditions before construction. Mention the fence and maintenance access explicitly so the agreed work accounts for both.
Does permission to enter the estate authorise fence alterations?+
Obtain approval for the actual work as well as arranging contractor entry. A visit booking does not describe the design, equipment or boundary changes being approved.
What should follow completed fence work?+
Retain the approved work description, completion information and any electric fence certificate of compliance issued after inspection and tests. Give the records to the person who will manage the installation afterwards.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
