ELECTRIC FENCE COC · HEUWELSIG
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Who should request an electric fence compliance certificate for a shared perimeter?+
The responsible estate representative should arrange the appropriate assessment and provide relevant existing records. A buyer, seller or resident can ask that contact for the information needed for their property enquiry.
Is the electric fence certificate of compliance the same as estate transfer clearance?+
They serve different purposes. Ask the responsible record holder for the fence document relevant to the installation, and handle estate administrative requirements through the estate’s applicable process.
Is your electric fence alarming at Heuwelsig Estate?+
Report the exact location and safely observed symptoms. If common equipment is involved, notify the estate contact. Do not open shared equipment, alter settings or touch wires to establish the cause.
Can Wesslink quote before an estate alteration is approved?+
Explain the proposed work so the technical requirements can be considered. Any applicable estate or property approval still needs to be obtained before the alteration proceeds; a quotation does not replace that authority.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
