ELECTRIC FENCE COC · HONEYDEW GROVE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Do I need to mention a provider change in an electric fence compliance certificate enquiry?+
Yes, particularly if equipment or connections have changed. Explain the work completed and planned so the relevant installation and any required assessment can be considered.
Is a monitoring contract a substitute for the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep the documents for their respective purposes. Ask for the relevant fence certificate and installation records as well as the provider’s service agreement, with any changes clearly described.
Is your electric fence alarming after a provider change?+
Report the symptom and what equipment work occurred. Leave settings and connections unchanged for assessment. Ask the responsible provider about service notifications while Wesslink considers the authorised fence inspection or repair enquiry.
Can Wesslink promise the new monitoring service will work?+
The provider must explain and verify its own agreed service. A fence repair enquiry can address the installation and relevant technical work without guaranteeing another company’s monitoring or response arrangements.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
