ELECTRIC FENCE COC · HONEYDEW
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection be discussed before planting?+
Yes. Explain the intended garden changes and arrange assessment of the relevant installation. Ask what work or access is needed before the planting project makes components harder to reach.
Should fence changes for landscaping stay with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep the completed electrical work description with the relevant documents. Useful garden-layout information can also be retained, while the fence records should clearly identify the installation assessed.
Is your electric fence alarming beside new planting?+
Report the symptom and the work recently completed. Keep away from the affected area and do not pull plants or supports through the wires to test a theory. Arrange the appropriate fence assessment and garden coordination.
Can a nursery choose the fence route for me?+
A garden specialist can advise on plants and maintenance, while the electrical fence arrangement needs its own professional assessment. Bring the two plans together before committing to work, particularly where future growth or access affects the boundary.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
