ELECTRIC FENCE COC · IRENE FARM VILLAGES
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Does the four-metre servitude mean I should clear it myself?+
Discuss an obstruction with estate management first. Do not cut vegetation against energised wires or move security equipment. The access requirement helps plan the work; it does not make unsafe clearing a homeowner preparation task.
Is an Irene certificate enough for Irene Farm Villages?+
The installation identified by the document matters. Supply the estate and stand reference, and ask the record holder whether the certificate covers the system in question. Nearby estates and the broader suburb have separate responsibilities.
Can a fence quotation include new foundations or trenches?+
It can identify that additional work, but the relevant estate and site requirements must be resolved before execution. Ask for excavation or structural items to be distinguished from the electrical inspection and repairs.
Who should attend a shared-perimeter inspection?+
The HOA should nominate the authorised representative and security contact. They can arrange access to the equipment and monitoring coordination. A resident can report a problem without being the person entitled to authorise changes to the communal system.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
