ELECTRIC FENCE COC · JACANLEE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming without an obvious damaged wire?+
Visible damage is not the only reason to request investigation. Tell Wesslink what you hear or see and any recent changes. Leave the electrical testing and repair decisions to the technician.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate be issued from a video?+
A video may help describe a concern, but certification requires the relevant inspection and assessment. Send available information when booking and arrange access to the installation; do not approach a dangerous area to improve the recording.
Will an electric fence certificate of compliance explain every alarm on the property?+
It relates to the fence installation inspected. Building alarms, gate controls and other devices may require separate attention. Identify each symptom so the correct equipment can be assessed.
What if I cannot reproduce the sound during the visit?+
Provide the history you have and explain that the symptom is intermittent. Do not attempt to recreate it by touching or altering the system. Ask what investigation is possible and whether further information will be useful.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
