ELECTRIC FENCE COC · KAALFONTEIN
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming after boundary damage?+
Keep clear of the affected section and report the warning. Electric fence fault finding can assess the installation after safe access and any necessary supporting arrangements are made.
Can the damaged wires be repaired before the wall?+
Ask the attending professionals to agree the sequence. The fence work needs a suitable support and safe access; temporary improvisation by an occupier is not a substitute.
Must the entire fence be replaced?+
Ask for findings that explain the condition and proposed correction. The visible damage alone does not decide whether repair, partial replacement or a wider change is appropriate.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate follow the repair?+
Include the request when booking. The necessary inspection, corrections and tests must support a compliant result before the certificate is issued.
What should I receive when the job is finished?+
Ask for the completed-work description and any electric fence certificate of compliance issued, including a clear account of work still awaiting another contractor.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
