ELECTRIC FENCE COC · KOSMOSDAL
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming along a shared Kosmosdal boundary?+
Send the location and alert details to the responsible manager. Electric fence fault finding can then be arranged with authorised access and one agreed instruction. Avoid asking residents to test or disconnect the system.
Does every unit need its own electric fence compliance certificate?+
First identify the installation and the reason for the request. Ask the manager which shared records are available and discuss any separate approved installation on the property with Wesslink.
Can a complex appoint a contractor for another estate’s fence?+
Obtain the appropriate authority from the party responsible for that installation. An address inside the same wider area does not automatically give one manager control over another system.
Should residents send separate repair requests?+
For shared equipment, send observations to the agreed management contact so the faults can be assessed together. Include exact locations rather than assuming every reported alert is a different technical problem.
Who should retain the completed certificate?+
The responsible owner or manager should retain any electric fence certificate of compliance issued, together with the work description and relevant installation records. Ask that person how a seller or resident can obtain the information needed for a particular request.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
