ELECTRIC FENCE COC · KYALAMI GARDENS
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming but the records describe older equipment?+
Send the current warning and available repair history. Electric fence fault finding can assess the installed system while the documentation is checked against known changes.
Does a different estate name mean the certificate is invalid?+
Do not decide from the name alone. Ask the responsible parties to check the property and installation identified on the document.
Can I request an electric fence compliance certificate with the correct current details?+
Discuss the installation and required inspection. Any certificate issued must follow the appropriate checks and a compliant result.
Should a repair invoice replace the earlier certificate?+
Keep both. They describe different parts of the history, and the current installation may need further assessment or documentation.
Who should keep the final electric fence certificate of compliance?+
The responsible owner or manager should retain it with the relevant property description, installation information and later completed-work records.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
