ELECTRIC FENCE COC · LAEZONIA
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming while nobody is at home?+
Contact your responsible site or security contact and report the alert. Discuss technical attendance with Wesslink once authorised access can be arranged. Do not ask a neighbour to enter or handle the fence on your behalf.
Can a forwarded alert prove that the energiser failed?+
It can help explain the enquiry, but equipment and fence condition need assessment. Give the original wording and observations rather than purchasing a replacement based only on the forwarded explanation.
What if the enquiry needs both repairs and security-provider support?+
Ask the responsible provider about coordination during technical attendance. If you also need an electric fence compliance certificate, include that in the Wesslink enquiry so the inspection and documentation can be discussed with the repair work.
Can my caretaker approve a different fence layout?+
Tell Wesslink what authority the caretaker has. A person may be able to provide access without being authorised to approve an extension, redesign or additional expenditure.
What should the owner receive after the work?+
Ask for the findings and completed-work record, with any electric fence certificate of compliance issued where certification was part of the agreed work. Retain these with the installation’s maintenance history.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
