ELECTRIC FENCE COC · NORTHGATE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate be issued after an impact repair?+
Discuss the certification requirement before work starts. The relevant installation and completed repairs need assessment, and any required outstanding defects must be addressed. A repair invoice alone is not the certificate.
Should I provide the previous electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Yes. Include it with earlier repair records and explain what was damaged or changed. It gives the inspector useful history while the current installation is assessed.
Is your electric fence alarming after a vehicle touched the gate?+
Keep people away from the affected equipment and report the incident. Wesslink can investigate the fence concern. Do not repeatedly operate the gate or shift wires to see whether the alarm stops.
Can a photograph provide the final repair price?+
A photograph can help describe visible damage, but unseen defects or access needs may require inspection. Ask for a clear assessment and quotation rather than expecting one picture to establish the whole repair.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
