ELECTRIC FENCE COC · NORTHWOLD
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can I arrange an electric fence compliance certificate inspection after garden work?+
Yes. Explain what changed and provide any earlier fence records. The inspector can assess the relevant installation and identify required work, including any issue that needs coordination with another contractor.
What should I keep with the electric fence certificate of compliance after irrigation work?+
Retain the completed fence-work information and relevant documents. Keep the irrigation contractor’s work description too, so a later enquiry can identify what changed around the boundary and who handled each part.
Is your electric fence alarming during garden watering?+
Tell Wesslink when it happens and what you have already noticed safely. Stop trying to recreate the symptom and keep people away from suspect equipment. The installation needs assessment before a cause or repair can be recommended.
Should I move a sprinkler away from the fence myself?+
Discuss the arrangement with the appropriate contractor, particularly where work would take someone close to wires or electrical equipment. Do not reach through the fence or work against it to make an adjustment.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
