ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ONTDEKKERS PARK
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is an electric fence compliance certificate enquiry separate from a house electrical inspection?+
Identify both installations when enquiring. The relevant assessments and documents need to be clear; a request concerning the house should not leave the fence assumed to have been included.
Where should I file the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep it with the fence installation and completed-work records, clearly identified among the property’s other certificates. That makes later sale, repair or handover questions easier to answer accurately.
Is your electric fence alarming while the house electrics seem normal?+
Report the fence symptom on its own terms, with any equipment information already visible safely. Do not treat normal household power as a fence assessment or alter building circuits to investigate.
Can Wesslink discuss both enquiries at once?+
Describe each requirement and the available records so the appropriate work can be considered. Ask for the installations, repairs and documents to remain clearly identified even where attendance is coordinated.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
