ELECTRIC FENCE COC · PANORAMA
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate enquiry include more than one unit?+
Explain the actual equipment and perimeter arrangement. The installations involved need to be identified and assessed so the appropriate work and documentation can be discussed.
How should I keep an electric fence certificate of compliance where equipment is separate?+
Keep the document and work information linked to the installation they describe. Ask for any unclear equipment or boundary descriptions to be clarified rather than filing several unrelated papers as one general fence record.
Is your electric fence alarming only near the workspace?+
Report the exact location and any indications already observed. Leave both known and unfamiliar equipment unchanged. The technician can assess the relevant system without you comparing it through disconnection or improvised testing.
Can one working unit prove the other fence section is satisfactory?+
Have the actual arrangement assessed. Separate equipment and sections may need their own consideration, and a normal indication in one area does not describe parts that have not been inspected.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
