ELECTRIC FENCE COC · PRESIDENT RIDGE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection skip the difficult section?+
Tell Wesslink about the access problem and arrange the assessment needed. The inspection record must accurately reflect its limits. An inaccessible section should not be presented as checked simply because the rest of the fence was reached.
When should I arrange an electric fence certificate of compliance enquiry if wall repairs are also needed?+
Explain the supporting-wall concern before booking. The relevant professionals can coordinate the work and identify when the fence will be accessible for assessment after the necessary repairs.
Is your electric fence alarming on the inaccessible side?+
Report the symptoms and location without trying to reach the wires. Wesslink can discuss safe assessment and any access arrangements needed. Do not lean over a wall or lower tools onto the fence to investigate.
Can I supply approximate measurements for a first enquiry?+
Yes, provide information you already have and make clear when it is approximate. Do not take risks obtaining measurements. The technician can explain what needs confirming before the work is quoted.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
