ELECTRIC FENCE COC · QUELLERINA
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate enquiry be planned before wall cladding is complete?+
Yes. Explain the work early so the relevant assessment can be coordinated before components are concealed. Ask what further inspection is required after the installation is finished.
Should the wall-related fence changes stay with the electric fence certificate of compliance?+
Keep the completed electrical work description and relevant inspection information together. Useful records should distinguish what was changed on the fence from the separate masonry finish.
Is your electric fence alarming after new coping was installed?+
Report the symptoms and the area worked on. Leave fittings and wires untouched and arrange assessment. Do not chip away masonry or move components to investigate a suspected connection.
Can the mason refit the fence as part of finishing the wall?+
Agree the electrical fence work with the appropriate professional. The contractors can coordinate their tasks, but reinstatement and assessment should be explicit parts of the plan rather than an assumed extra.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
