ELECTRIC FENCE COC · RASLOUW GARDENS
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming when the entrance gate is used?+
Tell Wesslink what the gate and fence equipment each did, including the message and time. Do not recreate the event or alter settings to investigate. The equipment and fence need an assessment based on the actual symptom.
Does a gate warning mean the electric fence wires are faulty?+
The indication depends on the installed model and arrangement. Provide the exact warning and ask for the relevant equipment to be checked rather than assuming the cause from the word “alarm”.
Should I call the gate contractor or fence technician first?+
Describe the symptoms and any recent work when making the enquiry. Ask which investigation is appropriate and whether the contractors need to coordinate. A gate that does not move and a fence alert may need different checks.
Can I arrange an electric fence compliance certificate with entrance repairs?+
Mention the certificate request before the work is agreed. Wesslink can explain the inspection and tests required for the resulting fence installation and any corrections needed.
What should I retain after the entrance work?+
Keep the completed gate and fence work descriptions and any electric fence certificate of compliance issued. Include new equipment information so a later fault can be investigated against the current arrangement.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
