ELECTRIC FENCE COC · RISIDALE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a buyer request an electric fence compliance certificate inspection?+
Arrange the request with the owner’s authority and suitable access. Explain the transaction purpose and any particular concerns. Wesslink can discuss the relevant inspection and what is needed to address its findings.
Does an electric fence certificate of compliance provide a future repair budget?+
It is not a forecast of future maintenance costs. Ask separately for the findings and any currently recommended work to be quoted, and identify optional upgrades you want considered.
Is your electric fence alarming during a Risidale viewing?+
Tell the owner or agent and include the symptom in the inspection request. Do not change controls to stop it or assume the cause from the brief visit. Arrange professional assessment of the installation.
Can I compare the seller’s report with a new quotation?+
Provide the original report and details of any later work. Ask whether the quotation addresses the same findings and what additional assessment was performed. Keep differences explicit rather than assuming the documents are interchangeable.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
