ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ROBERTVILLE
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can an electric fence compliance certificate inspection be included in planned maintenance?+
Yes. Explain the installation and other work early so the relevant assessment can be arranged. Necessary repairs and any further inspection still need completion before certification can be finalised.
Who should receive the electric fence certificate of compliance after a shutdown?+
Give it to the responsible property or facilities record holder with the completed-work details. The person arranging return to normal operation should also understand any remaining issue or follow-up.
Is your electric fence alarming when the site reopens?+
Report the symptom and the maintenance work completed. Leave the equipment unchanged and arrange assessment. Do not assume the shutdown itself proves the cause, or repeatedly alter operating conditions to investigate.
Can the maintenance deadline guarantee all fence work is finished?+
Discuss the actual condition, access and proposed work before agreeing arrangements. If further defects or dependencies are found, keep the remaining work clear rather than treating the planned reopening date as evidence of completion.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
