ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ROBIN HILLS
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Can a new managing agent request an electric fence compliance certificate inspection?+
Yes, with the appropriate authority and access. Provide the existing records and explain what is missing. Wesslink can assess the relevant installation and identify the work needed for the certification enquiry.
What if the electric fence certificate of compliance is held by the previous owner?+
Request the available document through the appropriate property contact. If it cannot be obtained, tell the inspector. Do not reconstruct or amend a certificate from invoice details or verbal assurances.
Is your electric fence alarming despite a recent handover note saying it was repaired?+
Supply that note and the current symptoms. Wesslink can investigate what is happening now. A recurring concern needs assessment without assuming that the handover wording accurately describes every earlier repair.
Should completed repairs and proposed upgrades be in the same list?+
They can be kept in one file, but label their status clearly. Separate completed work, outstanding defects and optional proposals so a future decision is not based on an item that was never carried out.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
