ELECTRIC FENCE COC · ROOIHUISKRAAL NORTH
Questions before you book.
Practical answers for owners, sellers and property managers.
Is your electric fence alarming immediately after you move in?+
Keep the exact message and notify the responsible owner or manager. Electric fence fault finding can investigate the installation. Explain whether any equipment or supply was changed during the handover.
What should a seller explain about the fence?+
Provide the equipment information, normal operating instructions, fault contact and existing records. Disclose known problems and later alterations so the purchaser can arrange any inspection needed.
Can I request an electric fence compliance certificate if nobody knows the controls?+
Explain the access and operating-information gap when booking. The relevant equipment must be accessible for the required inspection and tests; arrange authorised assistance rather than experimenting with settings.
Does a warning left on the display always mean a present fault?+
The meaning depends on the equipment and indication. Give Wesslink the model and message so a current warning can be distinguished from recorded history through the appropriate assessment.
What belongs in the new owner’s fence file?+
Keep the operating information, completed repairs and any electric fence certificate of compliance issued. Add the responsible service contact and records of later changes to the installation.
Who can issue an electric fence certificate of compliance?+
A registered electric fence system installer may issue an electric fence compliance certificate after the required inspection and testing. An ordinary electrical COC is a separate document.
Will the inspection fee include repairs?+
Ask for the inspection, any repairs and any return visit to be itemised in the quote. The work required depends on what is found; a price should not assume that the fence will pass before it has been inspected.
